ingredients:
- 100g hazelnuts
- 250g digestives
- 75g butter
- 400g jar nutella
- 500g cream cheese
- 60g icing sugar
method:
- Remove cream cheese from fridge so as to bring to room temperature
- Bake the hazelnuts at about 180°C for 10-15 minutes
- Cover the nuts for a minute or so to let steam. Remove skins by rubbing them through a piece of kitchen towel
- Chop the hazelnuts pretty finely
- Form crumbs from digestives. Add melted butter, 1 tablespoon nutella and 3 tablespoons hazelnuts
- Place crumbs in a 9in round tin and put in the fridge
- Beat cream cheese and sugar until smoother
- Add remaining nutella and beat until combined
- Remove base from the fridge and add the filling
- Top with the remaining chopped hazelnuts
- Leave overnight
